So I've been interested in building the ubitx for a while now and I took the plunge. So far I'm happy with the progress as on receive its pretty good. The lack of AGC can cause hearing damage on strong signals when using head phones.

Few things i have left to do,

Mic, there is no 3.5 jack to attach the mic in the kit and i have none lying around,
CW, Key i need to test it. My CW is bad but i know enough to see if its working,
    Upgrade to a metal case,
    Get computer control working
    Get SDR Console working,
    Build a AGC circuit,

I built one. Mic socket wired tho and used a 'quality' baofeng mic, but y it's more fun than anything.
If you wanna do FT8 , don't fit agc or at least switch it. Agc is an issue.. Read forum as you already do. However cw, perfect no drama. Have cat working and computer control seamless. Also ordered that new add-on board for USB everything and onboard soundcard inside radio to stop the audio issues and risk connecting to laptop direct as there is almost 7v on mic pin etc
.. Anyway enjoy. Love the rx cvg to 70khz almost!
