Can anyone recommend the best way to get black jeans that have gone grey-ish back to black again?

I've heard ink in the washing machine but I'm not sure of the method... thanks!

    Dye them

Dye, the Dylon products being the easiest to find. Noting else can restore colour that's gone; anything that says it can is blatantly lying. Try rationalise the process required. The pocket material will go black too, the dye isn't and can't be selective.

Then wash at much lower temperatures with the minimal amount of detergent; possibly a specialist dark clothes detergent like Woolite.

As above, and always turn inside out for washing. Don't tumble dry.
