Water supply to spectacle glazing machine

I brought a glazing machine to cut down lenses into glasses. It uses water during the lens cutting phase.
The water coming in is generally connected to themains and there is a pipe and bucket underneath that collects the water that flows off.

I have machine in garage and only have tap outside that i am going to connect a hose up to and connect to machine.

I think i can just turn the tap on and the machine somehow stops the water and only uses it when its turned on.

I cannot take the hose off the back of the machine.
Would someone mind taking a look at images to see if that comes off or if its all one connection. (Been on for a while so may just be stuck)

Also are there any fastening things i would need if connecting it up to garden hose to make sure its a tight connection?

If anyone could help me out i'd really appreciate it.

    TIA
