Folks - Apologies if not correct forum. With the upcoming law changes from mid August, what VPN would anyone recommend to continue using IPTV services ?

Express VPN is dear but probably one of the best VPNs available.

What changes in the law are coming?

What changes in the law are coming?

The ISPs have been forced to begin blocking IPTV streams from Aug 12th. This is to combat premiership streaming

I suspect very little will actually change in the coming weeks, but of course I could be wrong, a VPN is probably a good idea though

Cyberghost is pretty good for what you will need. It has an app for android too so it can work on most iptv boxes.

It'd be cheaper to just change ISPs

Pain the hole though, and you d eventually run out of them, some may only have the option of a couple, VPN is probably better option

i really cant see it at all, but you could be right, it somewhat reminds me of when illegal downloading was gonna be clamped down on, turned out to be a load of noise

considering it hasn't changed much in the uk and they were blocked last season.

You misunderstand. Only certain ISPs were subject to this court order.

I've been very happy with the KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Lifetime sub so far. I got it from Stacksocial, $39 for 5 concurrent connections. Has even allowed me to start watching netflix from across the pond again.

i wouldn't worry about it too much they are only blocking during matches so if your not into football it will be fine but i suspect this will not be a full time thing
they been talking about this for years because poor sky are losing out
aww lower your prices and see people come back

Could be in conjunction with sky launching their inclusive sports pack next month too. I won't be too worried as long as they don't go after all ISPs, I get fibre in a rural area with a smaller company so hopefully they won't be chased after.

So it's not your IP address they are looking for, rather the IP address of where the streams are originating from. So it doesn't matter if you use a VPN or not.

I'll try and find the thread on a UK forum, but basically, they have their own guys out there using these IPTV streams and actively reporting back the host IP address and getting the networks to blacklist it on their network.

There are thousands of IP addresses though so it's probably going to be a case of cat and mouse.

when eir started blocking torrent sites a few years back they were winning for a while but a simple website name change like .com to.org or to .eu gets around it for the streaming websites or just use a proxy yourself

When they were blocking the uk isp last year I know a vpn was working for those affected over there so I presume they’ll help over here as well, the providers say they use a vpn on their end so I can’t see how they can be blocked if their address keeps changing every day. It’s more than likely just to scare the non tech savvy people away from dabbling in it
