A black cab mounted a footpath where I was innocently minding my own business, drove over my foot, the cabbie got out and claimed he hadn't touched me even though it happened directly in front of a solicitors office where one of the solicitors was outside having a smoke, saw the whole thing unfold, and called the ambulance.

It was also caught on CCTV.

My second cousin got beat up outside his house by a mob because he has the same name and date of birth as me.

This happened me today, I’d be surprised if it happened anyone else:

I'm glad it wasn't a scorpion or a wasp or anything, but I really did not need to know that, Emmet.

My dreams will be haunted. :(

Mine too, C. Thanks for your concern.

I don’t know if this is normal but the best way I can describe the “sensation”, as I was drawing it out, would be the sound of a violin playing a very high, and sharp, “note”.

    Definitely haunting.

At that rate, if you had a cystoscopy you could probably muster up a reasonable version of The Four Seasons.

I got zapped with a stun gun and was in a corridor when a Garda used his pepper spray getting the effect of it.

I passed out when diving in the Zenobia wreck. Never happened before or since, but woke up bopping against some ceiling (actually, probably a wall as the whole ship is sideways).

My buddy said later that I just swam ahead and he thought I was going to look at something, and then I was gone. I’ve no recollection of this at all.

I just remember coming to and thinking “why is it so dark?” Copped on then and, weirdly, didn’t panic, but just switched my torch back on and tried to orientate myself and find people. I didn’t check my air though - that wouldn’t have helped at that point, and probably would have made me panic. :)

Still love diving, but I respect the huge need for safety and the buddy system, and letting somebody know if you feel a bit weird. A number of divers have died in the Zenobia from similar experiences, except they actually did run out of air.

Oh, scary enough. Being slow to panic probably saved your life.
