    Hi all.
Apparently as I received tax back due to over payment of tax, I am not entitled to claim medical tax back?
    Does this seem right ?

What was your net tax position for the year after the refund ? Did you at that point have net nil tax paid? If so then there is nothing further to get back. If you still had tax paid after the refund then medical expenses might reduce that further but only to the point of 20% of the tax paid or net tax paid becoming nil if that is less.

Presuming the tax refund is for a year previous to 2019 . As previous answer , the most likely reason is that your earnings in said year, was less than your tax credits , after receiving the refund for overpayment.

All tax paid was refunded . Login online at www.revenue.ie and check your P21 in the my documents folder , to confirm above info .

Let us know the outcome .
