House Painting

    Hi, I'm planning to paint the outside of my house this year. It has been painted before but there are some areas that are blistering.
    One advisor said to use a sealant before applying the next coat of paint. Another said to water down the first coat and use that as the 'sealer'.
    Any ideas on which is more appropriate?
    Thanks a million.
    M

    had to do it all last year
    you'll need to remove the blistered paint and just leave the paint that's still bonded to the wall

    I used a stabilizer and brushed it and after sanding lightly the areas that were scraped back at the blisters

    left it at least a day and rolled away

    Power wash the bejaysus out of it. Add E-B ( EmulsaBond) to first coat only and apply 2nd coat after ( of a reputable paint manufacturer not Woodies own brand or Johnstones)

    Sorry for hijacking but didn't want to start a new thread for a related query;

    Where is generally the best place to buy paint for Indoor home painting? Are Woodies as competitively priced as anywhere else?

    Woodies sell ****e. Go to a proper paint shop and buy trade paints
