Quick question, I have a Sky q setup and need to move the box about 10ft temporarily so not worth running new cables from the dish.

The existing cable is a newer style installed by Sky, twin cable in like a figure 8 cable and I'm wondering can I use the standard old style cable to connect onto that and extend to the box of it there are any incompatibility issues

    thanks

It should be OK. Most Sky Q installs use existing cabling, so as long as it's reasonable quality cable you should be fine.
