Had to have a fight with them last year about replacing it as it failed. Eventually they offered to pay for half and claimed the rest off my mapfre warranty. Not impressed to say the least.

Was it the engine inlet manifold that failed?

Usually, it's the EGR intercooler that goes.

Did they ever actually fix the wider euro 6 EGR issue they had.

Im guessing this is totally unrelated?????.

Has any Volvo owner been contacted by Volvo about the recall?

I was expecting a letter, but have received nothing. I posted a question on the Volvo website and no response.

Hi there I got a letter and they are saying they will be in touch no details really beyond that, with advice to stop if I smell smoke lose power or get a smell !

I checked on their website mine isn't due a recall, no big surprises there as it failed last year.
