I don't know much about vintage watches so this will be short.
Check the model number against what you find on the internet. Look for differences between them and what you want, ask the seller a few questions and see how he responds, where it came from, how old etc.
Done deal isn't a platform I like using to buy stuff anymore but to be fair I've had cars and other reasonably big sales with no issues.
In terms of pricing, you can compare what they sell for, check adverts and eBay for what similar watches have sold for.

Hi - I'm looking to source a vintage Breitling... but am only starting to learn about them. Came across the following on donedeal.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/jewellery-for-sale/1965s-vintage-breitling-automatic-25-jewels/22431682

Any tips of spotting a fake please?

Anything obvious in these pics that would suggest it's not real?

    Thanks!

The dial on that one would concern me. Looks like one of those Indian sourced lashups. Funk nails it. It's all about research and more research. Look at vintage models fthat you like from decent sources. Find the model name or number, do a google picture search for it, maybe download the images into a folder and compare all the examples out there and then you'll get a feel for what a correct one looks like.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
