Has anyone any recommendations for somewhere nice to go apart from London, for a weekend city break in the UK.

Bristol, great shopping, nice restaurants, SS Great Britain ship, option to visit Bath just down the road. You can fly to Bristol airport from Dublin.

    Liverpool
    Manchester
    Newcastle

All 3 have a good atmosphere, half decent shopping, nice restaurants and good nightlife

Second Bristol, awesome city. Nice vibe super chilled. Food galore and great pubs. Has it all minus the touristy vibe that edinburgh has.
