When ever I switch inputs on my tv from the Apple TV to an android box or virgin media box, I get a pop up on the screen saying

‘No channels have been added yet. Please go to the installation menu to add them’

Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this?

How about you 'go to the installation menu to add them'.

Take a 48 hour ban winston_1 for being absolutely unhelpful, you know that doesn’t apply to cable TV.

The thread is off topic for this forum anyway, so I’m moving it to Video Displays. Their charter now applies

I believe that what it's telling you is that you have no channels tuned on the TV's internal tuner.
If you only watch stuff via external boxes that may well be the case.
If you have an aerial plugged in you can try tuning in a terrestrial channel, otherwise I don't know of a way of disabling the message. Others may be better able to advise you.

On some tv's you can edit the source options, if you could do that, the TV option would be disabled.
