I used to think saying "twenty" something sounded awful but shur we all said nineteen something and not nineteen hundred and something.

Interesting point. How come if we talk about pre 2000 we say 88 or 94 or 98 yet we have to include the first 2 no's for every year post 2000. Why not just say in 8 or 11or 18?

Twenty nineteen. Odd, because I used to say 08. 09. etc. No idea why it feels necessary to specify the '20' in the teens when I didn't in the 0's.

I say "two thousand and" but I'll probably give up all that effort from next year. Twenty twenty sounds right.

Because of a job I worked in once, the mixing up of o and zero being a cause of payment problems, I can't bring myself to say o 1, o 2 etc. But saying "zero 1", "zero 2" and so on doesn't sound right either.

Jeez the dilemma...
