I'd go for an upgrade to a 1050 ti card as it's a good bump over the 1050 card

    in the same price range

The trackpad on those Pavilion laptops are absolutely awful. Wife has one and it turns both us up the wall, thankfully she got herself a wireless mouse. If you're going to be using the trackpad a lot then I'd advise against it.

in fairness HP use the Pavillion name on a lot of laptops that they make that vary a lot.

is your one a 17 inch screen gaming laptop?

if not, you have no idea if it's the same track-pad.

Yep, its the same chassis. Wife uses it with the GTX 1050 model, not the 1050ti, but its same chassis so I would assume its the same trackpad. One of the worst I've ever used.

Amazing how many laptops have bad track pads. I like to test a similar model in a shop before deciding.

    Thanks guys.
HP one looks good with the better graphics card.
Trackpad doesn't bother me too much as I usually use a mouse anyway
