I am having an issue in setting up cctv network on my hikvision dvr .When i enter my static IP and the default gateway IP i get an error message (ipv4 address and ipv4 default gateway address not on the same network segment)any ideas how to resolve this?
this is what it should be:

    IPV4 address
    IPV4 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    IPV4 default gateway

The IPV4 address A class and the IPV4 default gateway address is C class and I think this is my problem.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can't give your routers IP to the Hik. The DVR should get a local address (192...) then you port forward on your router to give access.
