Do any of the learned people on here think there's a chance of an Indian Summer this year, as in some warm weather with clear skies in August\September?

An Indian summer would be warm/sunny weather late September into October.

August is still meteorological summer, and early September is usually still relatively warm.

As for whether there's a chance, yes of course but it's too early to tell.

    An Indian summer is November!

In Ireland September is a decent pick for one of the better months, nothing that needs a special name.
