Shower cord pull cord neon

I am replacing a shower pull cord but the neon light wires broke off from the pre terminated terminals. Just wondering if i wired one of the cables from the neon light into the live load terminal( outgoing) and the other wire from the neon into the netural load terminal ( outgoing ) this should light up the neon safely…

Yes some brands are wired like that but all are 230v

There is probably a resistor inline, on one of the Neon wires. try to keep it intact.
