Any improvement in VAG lead times yet?

I'm waiting for the new Passat and A4 models due in the showrooms in October next. Hoping to make a choice for one or the other for 2020. (Petrol)

Does anyone know if the lead time for factory builds has improved yet after the recent WLTP issues?

I believe waiting time for many models was around six months at one stage but hoping this may have improved by now.

Hard to get solid information from the dealers.

I ordered my VW in the middle of May. The estimated delivery date was August. I picked it up last week. The wait times seemed to have improved. The previous time I changed, I was waiting a long time.
