Im about to apply for my learners permit but see you need an eye test dated within a month. On the specsavers website there are a few different options for booking an appointment, should i select regular eye test or drivers report?

    The Drivers Report.

They'll need to complete part of form D502, and you'll need to sign your part in their presence.

Anyone know how much these usually cost at Specsavers/VisionExpress? Not eligible for PRSI I don't think. Thanks!

€20 at Specsavers - I just got one there 2 weeks ago. Not sure about Vision Express, but read online (on Yelp I think) that it was about €35.

Do you need to do this if you have no problems with your eyesight?

Yeah, it's required when applying for the first time.
