Any idea what could be the issue with P22AA error code? Got yellow engine light today. No symptoms while driving.

3 weeks ago I had P22A6 error code but mechanic said he can't find anything wrong and did reset.

Is the mechanic familiar with Mercedes cars? Does he have proper diagnostic equipment to read Mercedes specific codes? It sounds like he doesn't.

Oh his ad it says BMW and Mercedes diagnostic.

Do you think I should consider another mechanic? Avoiding Mercedes dealer to escape a huge bill.

    Yeah I hear you.

Sometimes however while initially expensive it can work cheaper overall to get the problem properly diagnosed versus going over and back replacing parts in the hope its right. With intermittent faults it can be a tough one to call.

Just to add it might be worth joining a Mercedes owners forum to see if someone one there is familiar with these codes.

Is there an Irish/UK based mercedes forum that you're aware of?

Thanks. Have a good week ahead

Your mechanic does not have a good diag tool. That’s a generic OBD code which throws up plenty of results on google.

    Will check out other mechanics.
