Peugeot engine can give DPF trouble but that's a widely used engine and provided your not making mostly short journeys, should be ok

Otherwise a very good car and great to drive

I have a 2013 1.6 focus which I bought in 2014 when it was 12 months old. Now have over 210,000 kms trouble free motoring. I religiously get it serviced every 20K including a new diesel filter. Currently getting an average of 58 MPG on a combination of approx 70% motorway, 30% backroads.

Depending on the mileage, make sure the timing belt and auxiliary belt have both been replaced, they have different replacement periods.

How do you find its comfort driving it that much? I'm looking to change in the next few months and a Focus is on my list. Wont be doing a huge amount of miles, but will be doing the odd long journey. Drove a rental Octavia recently and was surprised that my back was hurting me after a long journey.

I find the car very comfortable, the seats do hold you in place and also have lumbar support. My daily commute is over 2 hours which I do 4 days a week and car is ideal for that journey. I downsized from a larger car to the focus purely for fuel economy and it is just a comfortable to drive.

Worth going for Titanium model which gives cruise control over the lower models. Servicing costs are less than 200 each time. Overall its a reliable cheap to run car.

Do you need a boot? It's quite small in the hatchback.

Mileage is 69K miles should it be ok?

Currently drive a golf and find the size more than enough

Ford ETIS indicates timing belt and auxiliary due at 112500 miles (180k). I was told 160K by Ford garage for timing belt, got it done at independent mechanic. Peace of mind!
