Car recommendation, 300km per week, 6k to 8k budget

Hi all, I would be grateful of some car recommendations please.

I would generally do 300km per week but could do more so I'd like something which is good on fuel and reliable.

This one was recomended to me?

I don't know much about cars and just wanted some other recommendations.

The Megane dci is a good reliable car.

What about something smaller, wouldn't that be the most economic on fuel?

Ya get a bicycle they're really economical but I presume you wanted an estate car for a reason!

300km per week is not huge mileage, I wouldn't rule out a petrol car either unless you estimate you could be doing double that.

A bike would be my option one but don't fancy the N81 every day on the bike!

Nope the estate is just what a mate recommended.

Anyone willing to throw out a few recommendations?
