Problem with my old iphone

Hey I have an iPhone 4 which I stuck in a drawer a few years ago. It has lots of important photos on it. I went to turn it on the other day and it went straight to an emergency call screen but no screen to allow me access... anybody any idea how I can gain access without deleting all my things? Also it turns on and goes…
