    Hi,

with external wall insulation, what can be done when there is a significant frontage in yellow brick (cavity block otherwise)

I've attached a photo of a similar house - it is not a simple flat frontage, but goes around the side to the front door.

Could you mix internal and external insulation? Or is it just not suitable?

    Thanks.

Well to reply to my own thread, I see what some people seem to do is wrap the 2x sides and back, and only pump the cavity at the front where the bricks are - no ewi at the front with the bricks. And maybe put internal insulation at the front instead. Not ideal.

But does that mean no EWI grant available since it is not a full wrap?

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

Is it cavity wall or cavity block?

Have you seen these slip brick systems?

    Edit: cavity block I *think*
