Anyone have any opinion on who are the best dealers to sell second hand cars to ?
I have a 11 Megan with only 53 thousand miles on it that i'm looking to get rid off,
I'd prefer to deal with a dealer and get rid quick and hassle free , than wasting my time putting it done deal or carzone and dealing with time waster's

I know I won't get as much cash but its a price

Auction with a reserve? I did this with one of our previous cars at merlin auctions, be prepared to take a significant hit (our car had a large petrol engine and high mileage so I didn't care as it was going to be difficult to sell privately) but it'll get the job done.

I doubt you'll get much more going direct to a dealer, but I haven't tried that myself.

A dealer will offer you next to nothing for it really, I'd be surprised if any would have much interest at all. It might not be too hard to sell yourself, and you'll get the most for it that way.

I thought that may be the answer I got :D
I suppose its only a few quid to put it up on one of the websites so no real lose only gain ,

Yep, no harm. Price it keenly and it'll go quickly.

Yea the dealers seem to offer ridiculous low offers. Being trying to sell a 171 Kia Picanto for last 4 weeks at what we thought was a very keen price.
But only reply from the carzone ad was a request for my private email from a "Sir Marvin Dupree" who probably wants my bank account details also.

Any dealer we contacted only offered around 2,500 to 3,000 less than what we are looking for.

You have to remember that the car is only worth so much so a dealer has to buy it as cheap as possible to maximise his profit margin while it still costs him money to tidy it up, service it and stick a warranty on it. These things are not free even for dealers.

Even if you sell very cheap on donedeal. It’s still more than a dealer would want to buy for.

Hah! Sir Marvin was also interested in my 151 Nissan Leaf and same as you, looking for my email address to correspond.

He’s obviously buying something so. Good luck with the sale.
