Even with the lack of quality racing looks a decent few opportunities to make a few bob.

I'll be having a few bets.

2.30 Wolverhampton, The Groove. The horse is average and needs everything to be in it's favour and has to be in peak form. To me it's too much to ask. This is a definite lay for me, around 2.95 / 2.98

The one I do like at a big price is Creek Harbour around 10/1 on the exchange. I'll have a small few bob e.w on that but a real pity it's only a 7 horse race.

Good luck to anyone betting today.

My other bets, might have 1 or 2 more this evening, see how things go.

2.45 Pontefract, Three Card Trick, short enough at around 4/5 but I think its worth the price. I have this priced up at around 4/7 in this race, I think it's a cert, backing to win.

3.15 Pontefract, Clon Coulis, this is a lay for me. I think the horse over excelled last time out and at around 2.84 a definite lay, I don't think it will win.

3.30 Wolverhampton, Brecks Selection. I really like this horse, great 3rd on first run and will be bang on today. Backing this to win, around 13/8 on the exchange.

That me done. Might have 1 or 2 more later in the evening.

    Well today was very disappointing.

I don't expect anybody to back my selections, I just put the up here for myself and only now and then I recommend they get backed.

In the 4.15 @ Ponte, Harrovian won't be beaten. It's around 10/11 but it's info. If anyone has a few bob to spare I'd say back it.

    Til tomorrow

I'll post my last selection here for the next week.

6.20 Uttoxeter, Pacify, around even money on the exchange. Another bit of info, jumps around it wins. I'm on summer holidays for 1 weeks.

Delighted to see one of my old favourites win today! Sounds like the old boy has one more trip over to England before calling it a day. He could win there too!
