    Hi,

I have bought an old house of which I in the process of doing up, I am having a tough time removing an old rubbery/plasticky tile floor. When googling the best way to do this I came across this article about asbestos vinyl floors. ( https://inspectapedia.com/hazmat/Asbestos-Floor-Tile-Identification.php )

Would anyone have any idea if these were used in Ireland and if the tiles would be them based on the linked pictures. They are 9inch by 9inch if that helps

    Thanks I’m advance

They could easily be. I had similar tiles in my floor but found the easiest option was to just pour a layer of self leveling compound over them.

Thanks I was thinking of doing that. We actually found a company near us that tested a piece of the tiles for any trace of asbestos which came back negative thankfully. So it’s safe to rip out.

How much that cost? And how quick were they?

I believe 150€ I haven’t got the invoice and my wife dealt with it while I was at work. I think it may also have been cheaper because my wife brought the sample to them. If you want the company I’ll get it for you later
