Looking for a PETROL car between 2012 and 2015
4-5 door. Similar to Nissan Pulsar physically and engine wise. I like Nissan Pulsar bit a bit above budget as only came out on 2015.

    Budget around 8000.

    Any recommendations?

Main criteria = reliable and good mpg.

Spening €8,000 for something like that is a bit unwise at this time imo

    Will be no resale value

Loads of small reliable petrols for under €2,000

My brother bought a 2007 Honda Civic last year for €1,000, runs like a dream

I'd disagree at this kind of budget. Buying a car for 8000 that should last you years is not unwise. Lots of balls of sh*te at the 2000 budget too, and add in difficulties insuring and you might not be on a winner after all.

Loads of lemons that are 4-5 years old and outside warranty as well

Only my opinion but you either buy cheap or new/nearly new

Madness paying €8,000 for a 5 year old small petrol Nissan when you can get a brand new small petrol Dacia for €10,000 with no deposit and low interest rate

Failing that buy a 10 year old Honda petrol for sub €2,000, it would probably be more reliable than that 5 year old Pulsar at 4 times the price too
