You can pay to check the history of the car.
Some people do not drive much.
My older bother has a 05 car he bought new and has only 70k on it.
My younger brother is driving my Uncles 03 old car with similar real mileage .
Low mileage is not always good thing.A lot of short tips on cold engine is not good.

Yes i will, i read the 1.8 petrols are reliable enough.

Last change of ownership seems to be over 4 years ago too, which is good.

I have a 2008 Mazda 6 1.8 petrol with pretty much the same mileage car is solid looking

I dont think its suspiciously low at 110k kms. Some people just drive less than others.

Aren't those 1.8 engines very soft? Prone to high oil consumption and compression loss? I'd only look at it if it has a very complete service history.

Put 460k kms on a 05 1.8 mazda engine, burnt a bit of oil but rock solid, never needed anything other than usual servicing. That 6 looks good, if I hadn't recently purchased I'd be interested myself. Good spec too.

The fact that it's not for sale anymore.

    Water in the boot.
Rust everywhere - they are not galvanized.
Oil consumption, compression loss and trouble with NCT emmisions.
    Seized calipers.

Otherwise they are fantastic drivers cars. Really enjoyable to drive.

Agreed! I have the 2 litre petrol and it burns a litre every 1100-1200 Miles. Servic record is spot on for oil changes with the Mazda oil so cant blame maintenance. No issues with NCT yet though. The cat will fall out of it soon Im sure!

Have replaced both front calipers since owning it (its a 2008 bought 2 years a ago).

I have the problem with water in the jackwell in the boot. Do you have any idea where it gets in? 2 mechanics and many hours spent myself and cant locate it. I fear it is coming in around the rear window seal. Rear lights ruled out as is the third brake light and all weather seals.

Seals around the lights are the typical points of ingress.
