    I've given up on Argos.

Each time a product is on offer it's never ever in stock.

    Waste of time

This is in stock in most places

I had the G5 before and for the money it was amazing. I did find it degraded pretty quickly though, within 18 months it was very slow and I replaced it. And I wouldn't be a heavy user, I don't think

Yeah I got the g5s plus at Christmas and it's already slowing. The screen resolution and brightness isn't great and the camera is poor. I wouldn't buy Motorola again tbh.

Is was released in 2017 its a two year phone, and it has a low-mid processor. Its just old.

Surely after 6 months it shouldn't really be slowing?

The point is that it is not a 6-month-old phone. You bought it as such but at the time it had already been released a couple of years so for all intensive purpose it is a couple of years old in terms of hardware/software and it would already have been a budget smartphone when first released.

Have the g7, coming from g5. Huge difference

Had the G4 for two years. Grand speed.

Got G7 recently for about 200. Nippy enough.

Bought Redmi note 7 4/128gb for 200 about month ago. Amazing phone for that price. Easily get 2 days out of battery.

Cheers op... just bought a nokia 1100, still a brick, didn't slow down, can make calls.... it's ancient and still can play the snake game same speed as always TOTAL BARGAIN!!!

The G6 was meh when new and it's now old. It's not the bargain that the Note 5 was. G6 should really be about 120-140 to be decent deal. There are far better value (longer lasting) phones at around 200

Ive same phone since release. 30 months now? Brilliant. Still into second day battery unless you are hard wasting your life on social media.

    Still getting android updates.

You probably put all updates on top of the other with no cache wipe, might explain slow....if it is.

Resolution is an good as any, your eye cant discern difference, silly criticism. Same goes for brightness.

Under normal usage (ie, outside on super sunny day and not standing in shade to use phone) don't think ive ever said anu phone isint bright enough.

    Will continue to buy Motorola.

Brightness isn't great. I'd a samsung s5 before this and the screen resolution was much better. I've no updates other than the ones that have been sent via Android. Clear the cache regularly and empty photos and videos as well.
Just don't think it's a particularly great phone.

Their the updates i mean. Cache wipe with phone off, nobody does it regularly.

Should be a thing of the past soon.

    Hi
I got my g5 plus on November 2017

Have around 160 apps installed and using most of it.

Maps are used on daily basis.

BT connected to smart watch all the time.

ODB2 Torque scanner connected to car while driving.

Using it most of the day for web browsing and RSS reader plus some light gaming and spotify.

It still last a day on a charge.

Finger print scanner isn't as fast as my other half P20 but g5 is way cheaper.

Managed to drop it some time ago and just had to replace screen protector.

And having two sims with SD card simultaneously is nice feature.

System security patches are bit outdated (Feb 2019) and for sure it will not get update to next Android version but still good phone.

    Tom

Also the same seller on Amazon I got the phone from now have Moto G7 Dual-SIM for 178 euros

    Hi Tom,
Do you have a link to the moto g7 for 178 euro on Amazon? I can only see the moto g7 power for that price range. Strange that the g7 power is cheaper that the standard g7.

The G7 Power is a lower spec than the regular G7. Worse screen, camera and wifi. It has a lot larger battery though. 5000 vs 3000 hence the power in the name.

I posted this alert , as it was the lowest price I have seen on this phone, excluding joke companies like eglobal. 152 from a bricks and mortar is a good price for the phone, its a good phone, definitely not the best out there, but it was for my 14yr old, so sure it will do him fine. He had the g5 and did he fine until he inevitably broke the screen.

Remove Google from it and install aosp custom rom with gapps. That will remove the bloat that Google keep adding to phones. U will have access to Google apps (gmail, maps, store) but pure android. Doing this could give u another 2 years. If u replace battery u could get another 2 years after that! How to do this is on youtube

I've used eglobal multiple times, without any issues, so definitely not a joke company.
