Looking at getting people's thoughts about potentially designing an online portal for total farm management and wondering the kind of things that would interest people?

Was thinking of having a simple layout with stuff like contractors section where you request quotes, online marketplace to make purchases, recruitment section to fill in a request for labour, contracts uploaded online, historical data stored online, inventoryetc.

Would love to get people's opinions and potential suggestions to what to potentially do

    Thanks

Sounds a bit too complicated so far TBH. If I want a quote I phone them, if I'm buying online and there's no price published I skip on to the next ad/website.

Coming at this from the IT/design side of things. If you want to design something like this you really need to be very clear what you want it to do. From this post you seem to be just at the initial concept stage. I'd suggest you start off simple with some basic features otherwise it could grow into a monster that will suck in time and money with no guarantee. Do some good research on what things your target audience might actually find useful and more importantly what problem(s) it could solve for them.

Solutions should come from an actual need for something.

I’m not convinced there is a need for this.

Most of us have trusted contractors and it’s not something that’s decided on price point alone.

Most contractors advertise successfully on FB and DD as it is.

contractors section where you request quotes,

Doesn't work like that, most people have same contractor every year, only change unless service goes to crap
