What are the little red insects

    They only seem to come out on warm sunny days. They are absolutely tiny with lots of legs and are bright red.

    They are clover mites. Completely harmless. They tend to like hot surfaces so you see them on rooves and walls on sunny days.

    Used to call them bloodsuckers as a kid.
    Spent days squishing them.
    Wasn’t a very educated child tbh. But that’s what majority of kids done

    Yeah we used to call them bloodsuckers too. It's what prompted me to ask the question here because I was pretty sure that couldn't be the real name for them"!
