Horrible thing to do. I hope the perpetrators get the book thrown at them. Incidently, how do you receive Radio Kerry at your location?

Taken lock stock and barrel from the rescues Facebook page.

Terrible carry on particularly with the number of rescues in the locality but the reaction of people on the FB page is ridiculous.

"Motorists were left shocked yesterday as they witnessed three kittens being thrown from a moving car at a busy Tralee roundabout."

Didn't anybody take note of the reg of the car who did this? Or any other element useful to identify the criminal?

They were too busy being outraged on FB.

Two died, the other had surgery to repair it's jaw.

i couldnt watch or read anything about cruelty to animals.
i can only imagine the awfulness and the horrible excuses for humans who could harm a hair on an animals head.

this world and the types of people who inflict cruelty on anyone leaves me cold.

Yep! I lived near Killarney for years and know the rescue groups there well. one of my current cats was from Tralee so I check news from there.
<snip> ran a "fix it for a fiver" spay and neuter scheme and I took 2 ferals in .

That roundabout is chaotic at the best of times and leads to wide. open roads so the #####chose well. By the time folk had realised and dodged to avoid the kittens they would have been well and away

 In what way? This was an act of vicious atrocity.

There is no excuse. Tralee has excellent rescues who ask no questions. 2 of my cats are from there. Better leave them at the door etc than this. Just vicious evil people.

I'm not disagreeing with you but there are other more serious atrocities committed in this country every day, some of which we as a "nation" are quiet happy with.

Personally, I would have put the animal down having seen the state of it.

Can’t one care about and express outrage at both?

    They are not mutually exclusive.

Having seen the state of an animal through photos on FB you’d diagnose the kitten as untreatable? I hope you’re not a vet.

we care about each and all victims of crime and violence. the vet knows his job.

Deeply thankful also for skilled and caring vets

I never mentioned "crime" but unfortunately I'm forbidden from discussing the issue on this forum. Already posted my feelings elsewhere and got in trouble. Seems it was "inflammatory" :D

What does that have to do with the topic on this thread??

I always hear the same bollocks from people when I tell them I donate to animal charities. Boils my blood

I wouldn't click on the links provided, but we all know even if the savages who did this are caught, nothing will happen. They might be taken to court, the judge will say they were naughty and not to do it again, lather, rinse, repeat. I love my country, but our record on animal abuse and the lack of subsequent punishment is appalling.

Come on now Kaiden Hot Lodging,
You're around long enough to know that posts like this, discussing and denigrating mod actions on thread, is just not allowed. Because, amongst other things, dare I say it... It's inflammatory.
If you wish to discuss mod actions, please feel free to do so via pm with the forum mods, Category Mods, or the Help Desk.
    Thanks,

There have actually been cases of punishment for crimes against animals ..Cannot give details as still in progress, In this case by the time folk on that busy roundabout realised live kittens had been thrown, the ~~~~ would have been half way to Killarney.

Needs a strong campaign at TNR.

    Scumbags doing scumbag things.

I hope their are caught, convicted and spend time in jail. I hope their lives are ruined because of this. There's absolutely no reason to throw a kitten from a moving car, no reason what so ever.

It was gratuitous, deliberate, exhibitionist brutality. Of the worst and most revealing and horrific kind. No one who does this is a whole person. The same day someone else left unwanted kittens where they could be found. Tralee has good rescue services. I can understand folk thinking they will be judged for dumping kittens and having the humanity to leave them where they could be found and cared for, but throwing them from a moving car is in a different dimension altogether . Not impulsive but planned carefully to avoid being caught.
