    Afternoon all

I've been posting for a while as I dither towards replacing my 07 1.6 Avensis. Not quite ready for full EV yet...and my €10/11k budget won't stretch to the improved hybrids (I'm thinking Auris 2015+).

As an interim (my NEXT car will be an EV !!) and diesel not an option (city driving mainly plus I wouldn't want diesel anyway) I'm thinking the Focus 1.0. I'm seeing 2014/2015 in my price range. Performance not a massive concern but there are 125hp versions which I expect would be more than adequate. They also seem well equipped.

Is this a viable practical option...or are there reasons to run a mile from them ?.

    Thanks,
    K

Kia also do a great little engine in the Ceed. I have heard there is a lot of problems with that engine in the Focus and Fords build quality has not been great of late either. You can find arm rest between the seats breaking a bits on the dash not right. A pity as that was a nice Focus I liked it but if it was me that had designed it I still would have done the rear lights different.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
