Don't know if there's a new one coming but I read that, in the US, they tend to drop the prices before Amazon's Prime Day to preempt people going with the Echo, might just be that here too...?

Whilst a good deal its easy to get them for less than €150 here on various specials.

Got an email from Google this morning to say that Google Home is now becoming Google Nest, so maybe its a rebranding sale or a new Google (Home) Nest device is on the way..

Any benefit to this over the mini? I have a mini and it's a great piece of kit!

Sound quality is the main thing but it can do a few other useless things too - can't even remember what though

Amongst the sound quality improvements I’m pretty sure there’s better microphones in the regular Home so that it can hear you better over other household noises/further away etc.

Has anyone picked up a nest hub yet? How does the sound compare to standard home? I am planning to replace a couple with those

I have a hub and the sound quality is between the mini and the normal Google home, not as tinney as the mini and a little more bass, but is not near the sound quality of the normal home

Agree with above, i have mini/home/hub and i prefer the "home" sound the best as like a little more bass. Saying that i love the hub in as a kitchen device, I have it set to scrub google photos for photos that contain only my family (wife and kids) and the little fella loves it as photos keep popping up from up to 17years ago before he was around. :D -

NOTE; for anyone looking to purchase that has a router that by default band switches between 2.4 & 5ghz. This will cause the device to drop off the network. took me a while to figure this bug out but isolating the device and turn off band switching prevents drop off's
