CCTV in Sallaghraine

Was dropping a fella off there the other day, and as I was leaving I noticed CCTV cameras up along the estate.

Is it that rough an area that they need it monitored? Didn't want to ask him (scuse me, do you live in a crap hole?) in case I offended him!

I don't know Letterkenny that well but I'm curious now.

I lived there for three years. It was as quiet as a mouse.

    In those apartments?

Why the need to cctv then? And who even monitors them?

Good question. I'd be surprised if they even work.

There seem to be a few estates around the town with their own CCTV. I think it's usually monitored by the local resident's association.
