Restoring calor 2-burner

I was rooting in my mam's garage the other day and found our old calor 2-burner camping stove. It looks wrecked but still seems to work fine. I remember it was pretty good for cooking while camping.

Anyway, I was just wondering if it could be tidied up much? Even if the bars and wind shields could be painted? Have given it a clean and a scouring since.

    Thanks, pics attached.

It looks like it could all be cleaned up pretty easily. Take apart whatever you can (not the gas fittings, mind) and sand off the surface rust with a fine grit sandpaper. Work your way through a couple of grades.

Check and make sure the pipes aren't pitted, that it's only surface rust.

Replace any of the rubber hoses as they've probably perished.

The pipes look pretty good - looks mostly like the burner bars and windshield.

Just wondering if it worth painting for the bits that won't clean up? If so, what paint would I use?

    Thanks.

Plenty of good videos on youtube that take jobs like this (pretty sure I saw a camping stove restore too). You can get high temperature paint (used on stoves and barbeques) that could be used, but it is pricey. Steel wool and WD40 or kerosene will remove light corrosion without doing too much damage.
