    Scan.co.uk, Overclockers.co.uk, Cyberpowersystem.co.uk

    AFAIK those 3 are decent.

If you have it shipped to Ireland, they apply the Irish VAT.

I was surprised to see a few people selling custom made builds on adverts.ie cause well... I never thought of looking there before does this seem like a good deal

    http://www.adverts.ie/17366885

Last time I got a new desktop was like 2010 so I'm really out of the loop on what's good for the price, thanks for the replies and PM's

The price seem's a lot for what it is imho. With that budget of €1700 you could do so much better via a self build.

I wouldn't be a good candidate for self building, knowing myself I would probably break half the stuff before I even open the box. Well im still looking anyway No point in rushing to buying anything.

If by Custom build you mean a fully assembled PC, I would say OCUK are not great value at all.

AWD-IT have some great deals at the moment in the mid-range stuff. CyberPower seem OK too at a quick glance.

Has anyone used PC Specialist or PCZone.ie (based in Killarney)?

Pc Specialist are OK, PC Zone I've never heard of to be honest but their prices aren't competitive compared to AWD or Cyber Power.

Scan are excellent, daily updates on each stage of your build with photographs and burn in test results etc.
Cheaper than ocuk, more expensive than dino PC who are also good but they took 3 weeks to answer a query email by which time i had dealt with and was happily gaming on my new scan 3XS machine.

Hi, I was looking for a low priced, prebuilt (again I don't have the confidence to assemble myself).

Overclockers seem to be the best value for a prebuilt in the 600 to 800 euro range. They also seem to be the only one that allows you not to have to pay for Windows 10 (I have an old licence, also am eligible for a free student licence)

Have you experienced ocuk being higher priced for components or pre built PCs?
