    Hi all,

The GF is from Derry and holds an Irish passport but has a UK drivers licence, she wants to switch to a REP of Ireland licence, what is the easiest way of doing this?

One of the questions they ask on the form is when were you resident from, in Ireland..but she has an Irish passport!

Also would anyone know what the equivalent of a B1 is on an Irish licence?

You have to be resident in the state to obtain an Irish driving license.

In which case the form should say that and not refer to "Ireland" only part of which is in the state.

Not according to the post 1998 Constitution of Ireland from which these laws derive their legitimacy !
