    1. My property was build in 1970’s, does that mean we have lead in our supply?

    If your property was constructed during the 1970's, it may contain lead pipework. We would recommend that you contact a qualified plumber to investigate your property's internal and external pipework to determine if lead pipes are present and to have these replaced.

    2. I have switched off my OSV, however the water wasn’t fully stopped. What should I do?

    If you would like PM us the following a member of our team will look into this for you:

    - Full Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact Number

    3. The sewer line is getting blocked often, my neighbours are not taking the liability for it, what should I do?

    If the blockage is within private property it is legally the responsibility of the property owners who share the drain to resolve it. If the party in whose property, the obstruction lies is uncooperative then you may have to take legal advice on how to proceed in this situation.

    If the cause of the blockage is external to private property, Irish Water may be able to help. The householder could arrange to have a camera survey done by a drainage contractor to find out if the problem is in the public area and if it is then Irish Water would investigate this and repair it.

    4. Who is responsible for clearing road gullys/drains?

    The Roads Department in your Local Authority will be in charge of the road gullies and drains.

    5. Plastic barriers left on the road. Who do I contact to get them removed?

    Would you mind sending a PM with the following and we will follow up with our crews in the area?
    - Your full name;
    - Contact number; and
    - The exact location of these barriers and when they were first in place.
