Spotify issue?

    Having an issue with Spotify that is starting to wreck my head and any steer would be appreciated.

    If listening to Spotify and I unlock my device, playback stops and then fades back in over a few seconds.
    It's a small but frustrating issue.

    I've gone thru my notification, battery optimization and screen lock settings with no joy.

    Handset is a Mi8 running latest miui.eu rim.

    Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    Hardly an unlock sound that's momentarily stopping spotify?

    First and only thought, not heard of it from a stock one before though. Are you using a custom lockscreen (such as Microsofts Garage Launcher).

    Thanks guys.

    The lockscreen sound was my 1st thought too.
    But all screen sounds are off, and I can't find any other setting anywhere that will affect it.

    I'm running Nova Prime as my explorer, with no other real changes to stock MIUI apart from that.
    Have trawled through my lockscreen, display, sound and notification settings with no joy

    The actual behaviour of the fade out is exactly what I'd expect from fading from a notification tho, great insight! I hadn't realized that myself.

    Got it sorted! :D

    Thanks for the steer on the notification sounds.

    Weirdly, I had to turn on the lock screen sounds to get the fading to stop!
    I usually default to all notification and system sounds off, and they were but to get the issue to stop I had to switch on the lock screen sound option.

    Strange!
    But now sorted.

    Spotify stops playing when my phone locks and starts playing when it unlocks. I have to set the battery too allow too work in the background and it works again. So annoying as its not a friendly app on battery. Same issue for other sound apps for the phone

    That sounds like it's working correctly to me. It would need to stay active in the background so it can keep playing music when the phone is locked.
    I'll have Spotify on for about 2 hours a day with Bluetooth headphones and I still get a day and a half at least from the battery.
