Looking a the purchase of a Leon Fr, any good or bad opinions would be greatly appreciated. Or would I be best to go with a GTD?

Nice looking fr in tipperary but reg check says that one is 150bhp but a nice looking car. Price a bit strong?

    Can't add urls, apologies

There is a 184PS version too. Make sure it has the tech pack too.

Get the 184, better suspension, bigger brakes, better overtaking and no economy penalty. Mechanically it's the same as the GTD whereas the 150bhp isn't.

Tech pack is only on UK cars but adds nav and front sensors which is handy. If you were importing you can get dsg with the 184 in the UK too. Also there's a higher powered 1.4tsi and a 1.8tsi.

They are a good bit cheaper than the GTD but the interior feels more low rent. It's not had, just the golf probably has the best interior in that class.

Think the tech pack adds LED headlamps too?

In the UK it does alright, they're standard here though. UK cars get more basic standard stereos and 17s as standard too whereas the Irish ones get 18s and the mid range headunit.

It's a UK car, quite low spec - no LED headlights, smaller radio. It does have front sensors and alcantara though.

What would put me off is the aftermarket wheels and those tints on the front are illegal. Reg says it's a 150bhp so someone's telling porkies or it's been remapped which depending on how you want to play it with your insurance co that might be an issue.

You'd be better off with a nice clean original one like this 150 or finding a 184.

That cars an import but if it checked out it's a much better spec.

Interesting. I’m kinda considering a 184PS estate. Was looking at V60 but this might be a better option for me. It’s certainly more modern.

I'd have another one if I was looking but I think a nicely sprcced V60 would be a much nicer motor tbh.
