Used/free tree guards?

Hiya guys But if a random one. I am just wondering is it possible to get used tree guards? I have seen a few posts on UK forums in which tree guards are taken from trees in large forestry and then dumped or given away for free. I'm just wondering if the same happens over here.

I don't, but I did see a suggestion to use lengths of the yellow perforated hose that you use for septic tank percolation areas. With the added bit of wisdom to cut them up the length first then taped together so they can be removed easily when no longer needed.
