Anyone have any idea how much a hearing test/audio test costs for a Civil Service
    position?
I know the candidate has to pay for it herself ,she has been told, but no reference to how much it costs anywhere in the CS Literature.

    Does she have a disability?

The way I understood it was that publicjobs tries to put reasonable accomodations in place:
    https://www.publicjobs.ie/en/people-with-disabilities

Charter on Positive Supports for Candidates with Disabilities
    https://www.publicjobs.ie/documents/PAS-Charter-on-Positive-Supports.pdf
4.PAS will ensure that all buildings and other facilities used for recruitment purposes are accessible and suitable for use by candidates with disabilities.

Just looks like the step needed is:
    https://www.publicjobs.ie/documents/Process-Flowchart-Reasonable-Accommodations.pdf
Candidate indicates on application that reasonable accommodations may be required

Maybe she just needs to let them know?

Apologies if I've got this all wrong and it's a specific requirement of the job.

    Thanks very much for reply.
Its just seems to be part of the selection process, basically, get a hearing/audio test done from a list that we supply to you.Yet the panel they provide do not have the cost of such test anywhere on their literature!

Some places are free if you are currently paying PRSI or have a medical card.
