    Hi

We have been receiving quotes for a replacement front door as our current one is warped and expands and contracts a lot from winter to summer and lets out a lot of heat.

It's an older house so we don't feel a composite would suit.

The quotes we are getting are all near 4k, This seems like a lot to me for a door or would this be seen as average for a door this size?

Don't want to keep getting quotes (got 4 already) if this is an expected price.

    dimensions are
    Door width :1100mm
    Door height :2270mm
    Frame width (internal) 1320mm
Frame height (inc an light) 2860mm

We got ours done by a local joiner in Cork for 3k. We were in the same boat, wanted a wooden door as opposed to a composite as felt it suited more. Very happy with the way it worked out.

Can you PM me the details of that joiner in Cork please?

€4k for what you have specified is on the high side but not exhorbitant. I would have expected it to be €3.5+.
