You are thinking of spraying pebble dash with a cordless? If you're lucky, you will get max 20 min per charge, and have to refill every 5 min. Much better to hire an airless. regardless, if you don't know what you are doing, cover everything including your neighbours car and the area directly outside the room that you are painting.

thanks for reply, guess a cordless is not the way to go then,i dont want to hire,i would want to buy one for keeps, would electric do?

They are all electric. There is a guy on donedeal that refurbishes sprayers. Think he's from kilkenny. Be prepared to pay 700 plus for any kind of decent 2nd hand sprayer.

A couple of years ago, we had external insulation to the walls, and they sprayed the paint after it was done.

They spent a day, masking the windows, doors and what have you. The stuff still goes everywhere.

Did you say you're planning to use it indoors? Generally I find the biggest time sink is clearing stuff out and covering - The actual painting for a normal size room is only about an hour or so.

I wish you well Sniper but you'd roll it quicker.

With any kind of spray painting, preparation is 90% (+) of the work...the actual spraying itself does not take long, but keeping the paint away from places it should not be, is a nightmare. Overspray, will find its way everywhere, unless you have a room prepared like one of Dexters.....and that's for internals...if it's external, wall's, fence's etc. and there is even a slight breeze, the neighbours will get a sample too. As another poster say's, a roller is your best bet.

Safe to say, they didn't know what they were doing.
