Part time job

Hi everyone. I was wondering, usually speaking, how much would a part time job pay on a weekly basis? Just looking for an estimate.

The reason I ask is because a lot of the jobs I see on indeed are all part time.

Minimum wage is 9.80. 20 hours a week would be 196. You might be on higher pay or get more hours but that depends on the job.

Part time cleaner or part-time surgeon?

Part-time jobs often pay less than full-time because they can be more casual with less responsibility, but that isn't a rule.

Sorry all for not being active. I am looking at a job in Maxi Zoo as a sales assistant and it's part time. Anyone ever work for Maxi Zoo before?

Yea i worked in Maxi Zoo as a sales assistant for a 6 year stint back in the 70s but due to the drugs i can't remember any of it.

Part time jobs can be any combination of hours. It depends on the company and individual branch. There is not set format. For example I used to work part time in a shop, four hours per week just Saturday mornings. Now I work part time five mornings Monday-Friday. The salary will be pro-rata in that if you work 20 hours per week you will earn half of what a person working 40 hours per week does. Depending on availability of work and how many days a week you work you might be able to claim social welfare for the other hours. I imagine somewhere like maxi zoo would pay minimum wage or just above. Ask the manager what part time hours are available before you apply.
