Dry Cleaning Mens Suits - how often?

    Hi,

How often should you dry clean a man's suit?

I'm anxious to keep my suits fresh, well pressed and clean; but I fear that the more often I get them cleaned, the faster they will get damaged and worn.

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

    G.

I only dry clean my suits if they are actually dirty. For general freshening up i use a steam cleaner with clothes attachment. This sorts out perspiration and any lingering odours (smoke, food etc.)
You're right, dry cleaning is very tough on suits and should only be done when absolutely necessary.

yeah "as little as possible" is really the answer. Spot cleaning, brushing and steaming are the best ways to keep suits fresh, and letting them rest between wears.

And hanging them in the bathroom/ ensuite when you're having a shower is also good. Wool likes a bit of steam.
