Dual sim question

I'm getting the P30 tomorrow, it's on eir, now a lot of P30's for sale on the likes of amazon are dual sim, guessing the eir one isn't. If i bought a dual sim tray and whacked 2 sims in it would it work or is there some trickery that eir have done to prevent this?

Not as simple as that. They are two different models. The Eir one will only have 1 sim reader inside.
