UK licence full (car) Irl licence provisional (bike)

Past bike test, was trying to swap provisional for full, was asked do I have a car license and stupidly told him I do but for the uk, now I've no problem swapping them over but recently got 5 points on the Irl bike license when on a provisional. So that would be carried over on to my car license right? I.e higher insurance quotes next year... wanted to keep them separate but is it really against the law?
Would the NDLS know I have a car license? I.e could I try again and just say nope, I don't drive a car so they couldn't force me to swap?
When they (NDLS) run my name would it come up as having a full UK licence? Probably not right as he would of assumed so instead of asking me right?

There's no requirement to change your car licence, you're under no obligation. But...

If you keep your UK licence, you'll be considered a novice on the bike as this is your first licence here. So you have a lower penalty point limit of 7 points (one speeding offence on top of your current 5 points would have you disqualed), must wear the N vest (if you're caught without, 2 penalty points for not wearing it = disqual), lower drink drive limit.

If you do transfer the licence, you won't be a first time licence holder, you're adding a category to an existing driving licence. So you get the 12 point limit, no requirement for a novice vest because you're not a first time licence holder, etc. This is assuming you held a licence in the UK before 2014 of course!

Pretty sure there's some illegality to holding driving licenses for two EU countries.
